Speaker 1:

All right, everybody, welcome back to the Vegas has locker room. It is week six and we are in a thick of things. Welcome to today's show. Today is the update league edition. We're gonna be doing this show on Saturdays, just kind of updating the status on everybody's progress injury news all before the games on Sunday, and we will be back. We are bringing back something we did last season. It is gonna be jacis picks for the week and that'll be at the end of the show, guys. But let's get into the news. Listen. I have joined another podcast and streaming show. It is called first and mad. I'm doing this with Brad Michaels. We're doing this every Friday at seven o'clock. So please, if you're on Facebook, connect with mad Maddie's, follow them. It'll alert you whenever we start our live stream. Please tune in to watch and listen. If you want to come down to the bar where we're recording and do some Q&A, we are more welcome to have you down and address any questions you guys may have. Which is talking football. We did our first show last night. I sent out the link to some of my friends and hopefully you guys are following us on social media. I'm trying to get that got that up on Facebook. Gonna work on getting the notifications put on Instagram and and X, if I can, so please, yeah, first, and mad with Brad Michaels, we're gonna be joining it. We'll join in that show every Friday night. Please join us. It is a good time, is fun to do a live stream. That was my first ever, so if you watch it, please let me know how it went. Alright, guys, let's get into today's news. Looks like sauce Gardner has been ruled out for tomorrow night's, for tomorrow game with the Eagles. That's gonna be huge because, listen, they were really struggling against wide outs. But now, with no sauce Gardner and no DJ Reed, it's gonna be a field that you can definitely start. Either AJ Brown, deontay Smith, you can start that entire Eagles offense with no worries. The worry that brings it to me is breeze Hall. How does that affect breeze Hall? It looks like with no, no real defensive stops, I mean your number one and number two corners are out. This could, this game could, get out of control, especially the way the just offense is played. So breeze Hall could be affected by this move, just the fact that they'll be playing catch up most of the game and relying on Zach Wilson to carry the load. So focus on that game, guys. Adjust. Ross is accordingly. If you do, we're we're kind of in a toss up between breeze Hall and another player. This might tip the scale one way or the other for you. Looks like Jeff Wilson Jr is out for Sunday's game. I know they activate him off the public's. Everybody seemed to believe that he was gonna participate in a small role this Sunday to get his legs in arm it looks like he's not quite ready to go. You may have to wait another week. Looks like where he most it will be the guy to start in that backfield from Miami. Remember that. Adjust. If you did put pick up Jeff Wilson and plug him into your lineup, make sure you make according changes that guys know. The Sean Watson of course he's not going against the Niners defense. I don't blame him. It's funny how he's missed the two weeks that he's playing. A tough defense could be the shoulder or listen it's. It's been a rough go so far with the Sean Watson there and Cleveland. The. The starts of his campaign as Cleveland starting quarterback has not gone to where they were hoping it would go. On the flip side, we got great news. We got Austin Echler is officially off the injury report. He looks like he's gonna be good to go for money next game, and so is Justin Herbert. So any concerns you had with those two, you can throw those out of the window and play your charges accordingly. Should be an entry matchup. Should be curious to see how Quentin Johnson gets into his role and maybe Joshua Palmer seeing how their roles are adjusted now, with no Mike Williams for the rest of the season definitely can rely on Kenan Allen and Austin Echler going forward. No more Joshua Kelly. Thank goodness those days are over. Am I right? Alright, guys. So now we're just gonna do a brief rundown on Palace Redraft League, that is, our personal leagues. Remember, we are gonna talk about our personal leagues in this podcast. A little bit looks like Babu. Babu who those of you know is. Babu doesn't draft his own teams. Babu is. He thinks of his own play the owner and he hires a GM. This year he took a risk. He drafted his own team and it's doing really well in our tree draft late. He is currently in first place with the highest points. Time for the league would fog your toast. Looks like those two Are at the top of the grain, but Babu is the big shocker there because he drafted really well, got some good breaks, got some good players. Hats off to you, my friend, hats off to you. The big news, and that is, the two teams that played in last year's championship game myself and RT Are filling in the last two spots of these standings. But the good news is nobody's out of playoffs yet. It has been a tough go at it recently for us. I know I've lost a couple heartbreakers. Justin Fields didn't decide to show up until you know. You know, the last couple weeks. So see if we can turn around. Nobody is out of playoffs. Listen, it is. It's a 10 team league with six playoff spots. Those of you who are new to the show, we do have a redraft league and a dynasty league. The redraft league is a 2 QB league to receiver to running backs, three to receiver to flex, no tight end Defense and a kicker. We started this league last year. Rt is the reigning champ with team Joe mama, but it's been a rough go for the both of us. It's. It's been a tough, tough season, but nobody's out of it yet. Nobody's really separated himself. Like I said, babu and foggy toes tied to the league, four and one really owning it, holding on those first two spots for the playoffs, but the other four spots wide open for everybody's kind of one game apart from each other. So Still wide open there. Don't panic yet. Don't call the season over. Keep fighting, guys. Big news in that league was the trade of the week that was between Asian sensation and big-time Sean. The big thing about that trade was one team got two players they can use and the other two, and the other team got two players you can't use. You know we're talking about he went with a big Sean, sends Justin Jefferson over to Asian sensation and of course Jefferson is out on. IR and if things don't go off, the Vikings. You may have seen Justin Jefferson play his last game for the Vikings. The way things might end up here, who knows what's gonna hold the future, but it looks like big Sean definitely made out in that trade. So who does you if we're making a nice move at the right time, improving your team I know he had a rough start this season has picked up two wins a row, hoping to build on that success and moving forward. Grab a hold of one of those, but play off positions. Unfortunately guys couldn't get anybody on the show today. I was hoping to get George on here tonight today, but unfortunately Just scheduling conflicts, just nobody available for the day, so flying solo today. So we'll break down the podcast podcast dynasty league. That is our dynasty league. That is a simple one quarterback to receiver to running back, tight end to flex and a defense. No kicker in this one. No kicker in this league. Didn't really think a dynasty league you really needed a kicker. So we went with something, we went with a flex position in in that order. George himself is in the lead. I mean he looked really good. We broke that draft down Prior to the season started. He did get the highest draft grade. It looks like it's come to fruition. He is in the lead at a four-in-one record. That also, again, nobody's out of play offs yet Everybody within one game of each other. A Lot of people have made mistakes of who to play. There's a lot of looking at that, the points for and a max points for. While big discrepancies there. I think the biggest one was Asian sensation, who could have scored a Wapping 900 points already has only got, I believe, 700 points. So listen, anyone's game in that league, everybody keeps it, keeps in the mix. It's difficult about this league is we have no IR spot, so if your player gets hurt you have to make the decision well, to sit that person on the bench, or If you have multiple injuries, do you drop one of them and try to get continued. Nathan has run into this problem in this league where he has T Higgins and Austin Eckler both hurts and I believe he had another one that's hurts and basically didn't want to let go either player. So he ends up with some guys with our on bi-week. So he couldn't fill it in. He takes a loss last week Gibbs, dave, dave the Jerry a huge, huge win just to keep him in the race and gives him a gift for that week. So, nathan, I know you're in a tough spot. Keep it up, buddy, you'll be alright. Only trade this week I was between myself and Rooks that'd be Lee and listen, this was no big, no big moves here. This was basically just roster needs. Nobody wanted to give up any of the big guys, but we made kind of a swap. He needed another quarterback. I needed a tight end. So we swapped Jared Golf, miles Sanders for Tyler Algier and Luke Musgrave. Looking to see if one of these Jake Ferguson or Luke Musgrave works out for me going forward. Tynan, as we all know, has been a tough go at it this year. Nobody's really stood out, nobody's really owned anything. It's just been a haze posh at that tight end position. So looking to probably stream that going forward and one of those two guys I can probably just pick my matchups. Biggest surprise of the season has been the Phantoms. I mean, I know Brian's team. He kind of inherited a team that he did not get the draft but made some key moves in the offseason and really has done what he could with this roster. He's got two wins in a row. He's in the right, in the middle of the pack, right in the middle of the thick of things Looking to make the playoffs. I remember he got the lowest graded roster as far as draft wise, kind of inherited something difficult. But Bree Sall now really coming in the form he has patching my homes nice and steady quarterback. You're not going to have a huge ceiling but you're going to have a very high floor with Patrick Holmes and so that's been solid form. He's got a very structured team, very solid team. Bree Sall is probably your boomer bust guy. Unfortunately he is stuck with Kyle Pitts at tight end but it looks like the last couple weeks or last week alone he got the majority of the targets. I know it was John O'smith but not with John O'smith being out. Looks like Kyle Pitts will see those targets. So hopefully Kyle Pitts comes through as a big play this week. He can light some fireworks for him. He does have DJ Moore as a receiver who has been really high ceiling but very low floor. If Justin Fields plays bad, all right guys, that'll do it for the podcast. The Dynasty Breakdown and our own league breakdowns catching us all up until week six. Didn't want to go over some breakouts, I thought for sure Wanted to go over some breakouts that I think might happen this week. People, the players I really liked. Stafford is going to be a great play against Arizona, with the third worst, with the third worst, with the third most given, with the third worst giving up the third worst of fantasy quarterbacks. Good sleeper to have this week is Gardner and Minshew playing Jacksonville. Jacksonville could have some jet lag after spent two weeks out there in London. Listen, they, I know they want to make a team out there. Like I said on the last show, that makes no sense. What are you going to do? You have one team over there and or two teams over there and what's everybody going to do? When they got to travel, I mean that's just ridiculous. Anyways, running back, we like Rohene, mostert, kyren Williams, they're going to be good. I think. I believe I said that on the podcast, on the stream video, the video stream last night on First and Mad. They're facing some of the worst defenses, giving up a large amount of fantasy points or running backs. Good sleeper pick is going to be Alexander Madison. I think he's going to be a good opportunistic play this week. So if you have him on the bench and you're really in the air about playing him, he should be a good play this week. Wide receivers going to be Jamar Chase. No T Higgins, and Seattle is the worst against defending wide receivers in fantasy. They give it the most points of receivers. Sleeper pick for me I said it last night is KJ Osborne. I think he's going to have a good game. I think it could possible. Brian Powell for that team might be all right. The target share could go either way, but I like KJ Osborne. Tight end you got to go with Dallas Goddard playing the Jets the worst team giving up the most points to tight ends. And then a sleeper pick is going to be Kate Otton Baker mayfields. Use them a little bit. Hopefully. Maybe, if he settles down, touchdowns could be in your future. If he gets a multiple touchdown game he'll be worth the play. Now the segment I'd like to bring up to you today is the daily Yahoo contest. I entered for fantasy football Just to see how I place on a weekly basis. I'm gonna start doing this. I figured it was a fun idea to add to the show on the Saturday podcast. It gives you a $200 budget to play with and you try to set the best lineup you possibly can. So it was a free lineup, why not? Let's give it a shot At quarterback. I'm gonna actually save a little money here. I'm gonna go with Jimmy G playing the New England Patriots this Sunday. He only cost $21. Leaves me a lot of room to really be aggressive in the other areas. But I figured Jimmy G's good to start, as some of those other guys that were a little bit more expensive unless you wanted To go top tier quarterback. So yeah, jimmy G is my start this week. To running backs. I have Alvin Kamara at $22 and DeAndre Swift at 25. I think Kamara going against the Houston Texans defense is gonna be a solid play. Deandre Swift he's already proven he's taken over that number one role. He does get the New York Jets. They break out to a lead. Who knows, deandre Swift could see a lot of action as New York has struggled to stop the run this year. Now my wide receiver it's a three wide receiver set, so First receiver at $31 is Jamar Chase. I think, like I've talked to you, I think that's gonna be the biggest play this week. I think he's gonna have a huge day against Seattle. Next I have Tyree Kill coming off the board at $36. Listen, it's just proven. Yeah, he's been a little hurt and we talked about last show. Maybe he doesn't get quite the snap percentage, maybe they get water a little more involved, but I still think he's still a big play at wide receiver. Definitely could find the end zone multiple times or big play games. And next you got mr Cooper cup coming in at $28. Him and Stafford picked off right up, right where they left off Without missing a beat. And listen, cooper cup is the number one's Hargan. Now he's not getting as many targets he was last year because now you have Pukin Nakua there. But hey, he's still a number one receiver and I'm gonna take that all day. With that that link up with Stafford and Cup Titan, I'm gonna take a long shot with cow pits. Like I said earlier in the show, the targets are gonna be there. Why not give that a shot? They do target the Titan the most. The Atlanta Falcons do. He only cost $13 cuz I had to save some money because I spent a lot on those receivers, my flex position, I'm gonna go with Josh Downs of the Indianapolis Colts Another another guy who could see massive target volume coming from Gardner Minchew. Now would Anthony Richardson be in sideline for probably about a month and Definitely had to go cheap with With the defense. I had to go with the Las Vegas Raiders at $12. So this, this contest has like a million people that play it. I Just kind of want to see where I get out of how many people entered. So next week we'll report on the results, see how we did and picking the team for the next week. So, without further ado, give me a minute and I'm gonna set up. If we're gonna bring Jace in for Jace's picks and we're back with Jace the master picker, how are you doing, jace? All right, you ready to pick some winners this week? All right? So we're gonna start off with the Podcast dynasty league first match up we're gonna look at, we're gonna look at rooks and we're gonna look at Nathan. Which team do you like, jace? Oh, he's picking the rooks team. Uncle Lee loves to hear that. Okay, next pick we have Danny dookie or phantoms. Which team do you like? Danny dookie? You just like the name, don't you? Yeah, okay, it looks like it should be a tie. Don't ignore that. That's always a lie. That's just fool. You see, when it's red, it's just to discourage you. Okay, all right. Next that we have the nuggatiers of Jerry or the asian sensation. Which one do you like? Just Jace, so Asian sensation, asian sensation. Okay. Now next we have Big time Sean or RT. You like RTC? Are you just picking the green ones? You're picking the favorites. Oh, uncle Steve is gonna love you on this podcast. Okay, and then you're gonna pick this one.
